Donations Terms and Conditions

Raphaeli Waldorf School is Non-profit, independent organization that provides preschool and Primary School Education in South Africa.

Responsibility

The donation will be used for the purpose for which the donor has donated it, if legally, operationally and financially possible. If this is not possible Raphaeli Waldorf School reserves the right to appropriate donated funds towards the greatest need facing the school as determined by the management of the school.

Donor requests to remain anonymous will be respected as far as is legally, practically and ethically possible.

Donor privacy will be respected. All donor records maintained by the Raphaeli Waldorf School will be kept in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”)

Raphaeli Waldorf School shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users in accordance to the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”)

Payment Options Accepted

Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Zapper or by bank transfer into the Raphaeli Waldorf School bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.

Credit Card acquiring and security

Credit card transactions will be acquired for Raphaeli Waldorf School via PayFast who are our approved payment gateway PayFast is PCI-DSS Level 1 Compliant and uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Extended Validation SSL and no credit card details are stored on our website. Users may go to https://www.payfast.co.za/ to view their security certificate and security policy.

Customer details and credit card details are stored separately

Credit Card details are not stored by Raphaeli Waldorf School, rather they are entered by the client into PayFast’s secure payment gateway.

Merchant Transaction Country and Currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

Country of domicile

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Raphaeli Waldorf School chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, Olive Hill Estate, Airport Road, Plettenberg Bay, South Africa

Variation

Raphaeli Waldorf School may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.

Where will your money go?

Raphaeli Waldorf School offers assistance to families who have a heartfelt wish to give their children a creative, child-centered education.

Raphaeli offers partial bursaries to parents who need help making ends meet in return we require that families who benefit from the bursaries are invested in the school.

This means they pay as much as they can towards school fees, they pay in kind by helping at the school & participate in parent’s meetings, fundraisers & festivals.

To give you an idea of what it costs to educate a child at Raphaeli:

1 month’s tuition R 3 520 for 12 months

1 year’s tuition is R 42 240

However, we are happy to accept any amount you can donate to help educate a child. It is also possible to set up a monthly payment to support children at Raphaeli, if you would like to donate to the Bursary scheme on a monthly basis, please contact us at admin@raphaeli.co.za

HOW WE SHOW OUR GRATITUDE FOR YOUR SUPPORT

Progress Reports

If you choose to sponsor a child for the year, you’ll receive a report on how well that child is doing at school, not only academically, but socially as well.

Children often include hand written notes to their sponsors or an artwork.

The Raphaeli Voice is a monthly newsletter and is an excellent way to keep up to date with the activities and event at school. All classes feature in it over time and it has become an important communication tool. We invite you to subscribe here or email us at admin@raphaeli.co.za

Invitations

Festivals at a Waldorf school are an important reminder of the rhythm of life. Our festivals are an opportunity to celebrate and learn. You will be invited to participate in our festivals as well as open assemblies and other fundraising events held at the school such as our Autumn Fair, Art auction, Big Walk and Summer Market.
